Da Vinci – The Genius opens on April 2 at The Amazing Place in Woodmead, Sandton. The internationally acclaimed exhibition demonstrates the full scope of Leonardo’s remarkable achievements as an artist, inventor, engineer, anatomist, sculptor, architect, musician, mathematician and all-round Renaissance thinker.
Fresh off the back of a hugely popular run in Cape Town, the exhibition will immerse visitors in Leonardo’s timeless brilliance through full-scale models of his inventions and unparalleled studies of his iconic art.
A prominent replica of Leo-nardo’s most cherished creation, the Mona Lisa, will feature prominently in the exhibition, where 25 astonishing new secrets about the enigmatic Renaissance masterpiece will be revealed.
The interactive and absorbing travelling exhibition has been seen by more than four million people in over 50 cities across the world and is a must-see for visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore over 200 unique pieces including 75 life-size machine inventions built using materials from Leonardo’s era, interactive touchscreens featuring facsimiles of his remarkable codices (handwritten manuscripts), and replicas of his most notable Renaissance artworks.
Da Vinci – The Genius promises visitors an educational, entertaining and enlightening experience.
