3 Eco-friendly activities for kids

Make your home more environmentally friendly with these simple, enjoyable eco-friendly projects suitable for kids under the age of eight.

Are you looking for something fun to do with your children today? With these three fun and easy, eco-friendly activities, you can teach your kids how to reduce, reuse, and recycle.

Collages of nature

Take your children for a walk in your neighbourhood or a nearby park, and urge them to search the ground for non-living natural items such as fallen leaves, twigs, acorns, and so on. At home, your children can glue the pieces onto a piece of paper to create an “upcycled nature collage.” Paint, markers, and crayons provide the finishing touches!

Boxes for recycling

We’ve all heard the phrase “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle” when it comes to environmental preservation. Teach it to your children while they make their own recycling containers! Begin by collecting medium-sized cardboard crates. Allow your children to decorate them using markers, paint, collage artwork, and other resources. Each box can be labelled with a recyclable material such as paper, plastic, glass, or metal.

Napkins made of cloth

Cloth napkins are no longer just for special events. Allow your children to personalise a set with fabric paint. After they’ve dried, use the napkins for several meals before washing them.
