Regular updates to apps in cars are as important as any other device

We plan to roll out updates to its Android Automotive browser in line with all other platforms, every eight weeks," said Vivaldi Technologies.

How often do you update your smart phone’s software? The same question applies to updating all the apps on your phone too! Updating your security features, and in particular, your banking app regularly, is critical.

Last year just before Christmas, Vivaldi became the first browser available for Android Automotive OS and one of the first full-featured browsers available in Polestar cars. “And now we just updated the browser with our latest version. We plan to roll out updates to its Android Automotive browser in line with all other platforms, every eight weeks,” said Vivaldi Technologies.

The updates allow for on the road shopping, streaming, video chats and more. It even allows for two-level tab stacks and a new side panel to explore your history, notes, and more in split screen.

Of course – drivers should not engage with their in car screens while driving. The passengers though, can have a field day browsing and having fun during long trips.
