Benjamin Bennie Pienaar, Freedom Front Plus, Ward 88
Pienaar has been a resident of Ekurhuleni, where he works as a boilermaker, for 10 years.
He is well aware of the ongoing water and electricity problems affecting Springs.
The road infrastructure in Springs needs urgent attention and the officials working at the customer care centre need training to enable them to handle service delivery problems more effectively.
Like the FF Plus, he feels that municipal officials often do not possess the necessary expertise, experience and skills.
Officials must be appointed based on merit, regardless of their skin colour.
Affirmative action and cadre deployment have resulted in serious mismanagement.
In the upcoming local government elections, Springs residents will have the opportunity to stand up against the ANC and vote against mismanagement and affirmative action appointments.
Ward councillor candidates were invited to submit photographs and write-ups. Some candidates had not submitted information as requested.
This publication does not endorse any specific political party nor candidate.
