Ways you can boost your child’s immune system

Children with weak immune systems get sicker much quicker than those with strong immunities.

Research has shown that it’s common for young children with a weakened immune system to pick up bugs and fall sick easily. There are many ways that parents and caregivers can boost their children’s immune systems.

Tips and trick to help you boost your child’s immunity

A balanced diet is important

  • Make sure you prepare nutritious meals for your kids and always include fruits and vegetables in their diet.
  • Make mealtime fun and exciting. Let your child prepare fruits and vegetables while you do something else.
  • Give your child a glass of NESTLÉ NESPRAY FortiGrow every day. It is packed with a combination of essential nutrients such as calcium, zinc and iron to support normal growth and a healthy immune system to get school-age children physically and mentally ready for school.

Get enough sleep

  • Primary school-age children require between 9 – 11 hours of sleep in order to receive the necessary health benefits.
  • Monitor your children’s sleep patterns. This can range from enforcing a strict “no toys/cellphone” sleep schedule to introducing a calmer bedtime routine that includes a bath then a bedtime story.

Exercise

  • Limit the amount of time your child spends in front of a television or on his phone/tablet.
  • School-going children should get at least get 1 hour or more of moderate physical activity daily.
  • Find ways to make fitness a fun and exciting routine. Get the kids to help with household chores, go for a walk, or play some fun games outside.
