“Last month I recorded a song called dadah, meaning drugs.

I was going through a tough time in my life, and at some point I thought maybe I should get high to numb the pain.

Luckily I was able to overcome my pain by channeling my frustrations into my music.

Recording this song was the beginning of my healing process and I hope it also heals someone else,” says Barbie.

She explains how drugs have destroyed her family.

“My uncle was killed by my cousin who was a drug addict so I personally know how bad things can get when a person gets hooked.

I never want to disappoint my family by getting for example hooked on drugs, because it will open old wounds.

The song is to educate people and share my personal story with them,” she adds.
