It’s adventure time with their favourite canine, Bella, when Aiden, Chloe, Ava and Josh spend the holidays with their grandparents.

In the next adventure in the Clifftoppers series, its time for the autumn Fire Festival and the children are quite excited, to say the least.

The children are looking forward to the bonfires, barrel-rolling, music and fireworks that are sure to make the festival fun, but when fires start breaking out all over town it’s time to do some sleuthing.

The cousins realise something sinister is going on and set about looking for clues to uncover the secret of Fire Bay before the town goes up in flames.

Fleur Hitchcock is known for her “thrillers for beginners”, and this action-packed series is perfect for readers from seven years old who are in the market for a good adventure.

The fun and suspense of these books are reminiscent of the Hardy Boys or Nancy Drew mysteries, with a little fun, a little fear and a whole lot of clever scheming to make this a wonderful read which will appeal equally to both boys and girls who love a good suspense story.
