The new GLX specification level will now slot in between the GL and Sport guises. On the exterior, the GLX variant, similar to the premium Sport derivative, comes with colour-coded mirrors, door handles and parking sensors and sees the addition of new 15-inch alloy wheels. The front grille, A, B and C-pillars still receive the blacked-out finish again similar to that of the Sport range while the rear of the vehicle features LED rear tail lamps and a high-mounted LED stop lamp.
Most of the benefits of the GLX specification are found in the interior, as standard, niceties such as automatic climate control and a 7.0-inch full-colour touch screen infotainment system featuring voice command, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth and USB connectivity are included. The infotainment display also doubles as a screen on which the image from the integrated reverse camera is displayed. The driver of the Suzuki will also find a leather-clad steering wheel and height-adjustable seat, while the rear seats come with ISOFIX mounting points as with the other variants.
While the Swift Sport features the latest 1.4-litre Boosterjet engine, the Swift GLX models are powered by the new-generation normally aspirated 1.2-litre petrol engine. Coupled to either the five-speed manual or automatic transmissions, the powertrain will produce 61 kW and develop 113 N.m of torque.
