Bride and Groom of the Month competition kicks off in May
If you get married in May or said your vows in April, you are eligible to enter the May Bride and Groom of the Month competition.
Were you the best-dressed bride or groom?
Do you have fab fun photos of your big day?
If so, now is the time to let us see what you looked like on your big day.
Due to a number of unforeseen reasons the Wish Upon A Wedding competition had to be cancelled.
However, all is not lost as those who have gotten married recently may be eligible to enter our Bride and Groom of the Month competition, which is being launched on May 1.
If you get married in May or said your vows in April, you are eligible to enter the May Bride and Groom of the Month competition.
Each month’s winner will win a R1 000 voucher from Supergel.
How to enter:
• You may enter one of the following photos:
The bride and groom alone in the photo.
The bride and her attendants (maid of honour, bridesmaids, etc). Please list the names of everyone in the photo and give their position (bridesmaid, flower girl, etc).
The groom and his attendants (best man, groomsmen, etc). Please list the names of everyone in the photo and give their position (best man, groomsman, etc).
Bride and groom with all their attendants. Please list the names of everyone in the photo and give their position (bridesmaid, flower girl, etc).
• Regardless of which photo you choose to enter, you must include the following information: the full name of both the bride and groom, when and where the wedding took place, where you went on honeymoon, where you live (suburb within Springs) or where you work (name and telephone number of the company) and the contact number of the person submitting the entry.
• Photos must be emailed as a JPEG attachment and must be a minimum of 1MB. Smaller photos will be disqualified without notification.
• Email your photos and information to editor Samantha Keogh at springseditorial@caxton.co.za with Bride and Groom of the Month in the subject line.
• Entries open on May 1 and close at 4pm on May 30. No late entries will be accepted or carried over to the next month.
Voting:
• On June 1, photos of all the May entries will be placed on our website and our readers will get the chance to vote for their favourite entry.
• Each voter may vote only once and duplicate votes will not be counted.
• Only votes cast within the specified time period and on our website will be counted.
• The entry with the most votes will win the prize.
Rules:
• The competition is open to anyone living or working in Springs.
• You may enter only one photo per wedding – the groom cannot enter with his attendants if the bride has entered with her entourage.
• Winners who cannot prove that they either live or work in Springs will be disqualified and the runner-up will win the prize.
• Entries which do not adhere to the instructions in the How to Enter section will not be included in the competition and no discussion will be entered into.
• Photos which do not meet the requirements will automatically be disqualified without notification.
• You may only enter once. If you do not win in May, you cannot enter again in June.
• The judges’ decision is final and no discussion will be entered into once the winner has been announced.
• The Springs Advertiser, Caxton East and South division and Caxton Local Media reserve the right to add to these rules as and when necessary.
• The prize may not be exchanged for cash.
• Couples must collect their prize from Supergel personally. Prizes will not be given to a third party.
