• Youth Day will be celebrated at Palm Springs. The centre management is inviting all young budding entrepreneurs to set up their product/service or idea as a way of showcasing their offerings. There is no cost to exhibit but bookings are essential. Contact Carolynn Weedon on 082 443 3213

• The Avenues will be hosting a Father’s Day event from 10am to noon. Come and have fun making that special sweet sensation for Dad. • Hospice East Rand Night at the Movies to watch Ocean’s 8 at 7.30pm for 8pm at NuMetro, Emperors Palace. Tickets from www.quicket.co.za or at Hospice East Rand. July 22 to 27

• Hospice East Rand invites you to join them on a trip to Hazyview in Mpumalanga. Spend five nights at Hotel Numbi and enjoy day trips to the following Sabie Valley Coffee, Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre, Bosch Ceramics Studio, Perry’s Bridge Trading Station, Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, Sabie, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Africa Silks Farm. The cost of the tour includes dinner, bed and breakfast and two pre-booked lunches and daily outings as per the itinerary. There is also an option of a day trip to the Kruger National Park or Elephant Sanctuary, both at an additional cost. You will be transported in an air-conditioned 22 seater coach. • Join Hospice East Rand for Great Balls of Fire, the tale of Jerry Lee Lewis starring Jonathan Roxmouth. The bus leaves Hospice’s offices at 218 Kemston Avenue, Western Extension, Benoni at 1pm and the show, which is being staged at Montecasino, starts at 3pm.
