High octane racing at the Rock today
The Rock Raceway circuit in Brakpan will come alive with high octane power as all the favourite oval drivers will hotfoot around the 400m circuit in various disciplines today (Saturday).
A host of oval saloons classes will also be racing, including the 1600 Stock Rods, 1660 Modified Saloons, 2L Hotrods and Super Saloons.
Open wheelers will include the Ninja karts for ages six to 12, 125 Karts and Midgets.
Adrenalin high speed action from the Formula N circuit cars will keep you riveted to your seats as the saloon car drivers jostle for positions around the tricky race circuit.
With plenty of chicanes and tight corners passing each other can be hair-raising at the best of times, but very entertaining for the crowds.
“So come support your favourite driver and vehicle manufacturer by wearing their branded cap, shirt or jacket, let’s see who are the Ford, Nissan, Mini, or Mazda fans,” says Abie Sada of Rock Raceway marketing.
Gates open at 10am and racing starts at 6pm.
