Funky colours for your hair in support of Cansa

Carnival City has pledged to support the 15th annual Cansa Shavathon taking place at the casino entrance on Saturday.

Anyone who wishes to support this fun and meaningful fund-raiser can visit the Cansa station at the casino entrance to have their hair cut, shaved off, sprayed or simply to donate money.

“We really encourage our community and visitors to Carnival City to be part of this and contribute toward making this cause a successful one once again,” says Michelle Smith, marketing manager at Carnival City.

Between 9am and 4pm, volunteers who work for Cansa will be standing ready and willing to change your look with a shaver, or simply spray some funky, colourful designs onto your hair with easily washable paint.

Cansa would be thrilled to chop off your ponytail (of 25cm or longer) and use your hair to make wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to various treatment methods.

This year, donors of ponytails will receive a free badge of honour from Cansa.

Proceeds will go towards funding the care and support programmes offered by Cansa, mainly rendered at Cansa Care centres which deliver care and support programmes to those who are suffering from this disease.
