I’ve read quite a few of the Middle School series, but this one was probably one of the most difficult ones to read, even just to get to the second page.

Pottymouth and Stoopid are two friends who received their nicknames in kindergarten when they committed the offenses of their nicknames implied.

But these two words, pottymouth and a variation of stupid/stoopid are, from the first page, so completely overused.

It feels like every other word is either pottymouth or stoopid.

I couldn’t get past it, the entire book basically focuses on their names and why they have it.

It eventually turns into a cartoon TV show and in the end, they are somewhat known for their nicknames, being a pottymouth without actually swearing and doing stupid things that, to be honest, most children would do.

The friends are made fun of and get into trouble and it’s really nothing new.

Redeeming qualities of the books are the drawn images which break up the text and gives a little more perspective on the words.

Boys from the age of about nine to 13 years old might have a decent time with this read.
