Ok, so the real truth is that she rents a tiny room with no space for a wardrobe, has a hideous commute to a lowly admin job, and the life she shares on Instagram isn’t really hers.

Until her not-so perfect life comes crashing down when her mega-successful boss Demeter gives her the sack.

All Katie’s hopes are shattered.

She has to move home to Somerset, where she helps her dad with his new glamping business. A perfect afternoon’s read – it’s a very easy read as a friend would say – this is a light and entertaining caper from the pen that brought you the Confessions of a Shopoholic series of books.

While Katie turns her dad’s brand new business into the IT place to glamp with the perfect yurts – in SA speak that’s glamorous camping (glamping) in posh tents (the yurts) – she still yearns for the life she aspired to in London.

However, fate is tricky beast and when she gets the chance to get her revenge or help our the evil Demeter she has a grand time doing both.

There’s the hilarious “special” glamping programme which Katie invents especially for Demeter, which includes lying face down in a field full of cow pats, followed swiftly by the help the downtrodden, and not so evil as it turns out, woman needs to save her own job and sanity.

A thoroughly entertaining read perfect for cold days spent on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate.
