Fiela se Kind in Springs

Two Hoërskool Hugenote learners and actor Phillru van Achterbergh accepted roles in the stage production Fiela se Kind.

For those who don’t remember the story line, the production is about Benjamin Komoetie, a three-year-old blond boy found on Fiela Komoetie’s doorstep.

She raised him for nine years until the census committee took notice of Benjamin and claimed he is Lukas van Rooyen who had disappeared nine years before.

“It is a dream came true and I am overwhelmed,” says Graigan.

He believes through perseverance and prayer God answered his prayers.

Divan Prinsloo (15), Grade 10 learner from Hoërskool Hugenote, says he will focus on the play as well as his homework.

“Playing the role of Willem van Rooyen, Lukas’ brother, is definitely an exciting challenge,” he says.
