Golfers tee off at crack of dawn
The Pollak Park Golf Club was packed with golfers during the course of last week.
On Thursday, the club held its pensioners competition of which the winners were:
• First place – Hannief Seedat with 38 points.
• Second place – John Wright with 35 points.
The Friday Meat Competition was held the following day.
Gerhard Gibson came in first place with 38 points with Colin Spence hot on his heels with 37 points.
The best front nine holes were awarded to Ashton Hurst with 18 points.
Marius du Plessis was awarded the best back nine holes with 16 points.
Saturday morning’s winners were Gary de Klerk in first place with 38 points and Johan Beytel in second place with 36 points.
The afternoon winners were Ian Stewart with 32 oco and Harold van Rooyen with 32 oco.
