Springs meets Skindie

"This is Skinnee Sunrise! An energetic three piece straight out of Pretoria.”

After a few years of playing the field, the band has finally trimmed down to a three-piece and stuck with a genre they like to call skindie, which is a mix of indie rock and ska, “just how your momma likes it.”

For stomping drum beats, angelic vocals and fat bass lines, you better get your toes in check, because Skinnee Sunrise are coming to a town, near, you (Springs on September 10).

The band is made up of Dylan Yesson (25) on lead vocals and Guitar, James Murray (24) on bass guitar and Tebatso Rampedi (25) on drums and backing vocals.

When was the band formed?

So we formed back in the stone ages (2013) but went through a ton of changes and band members. The Skinnee Sunrise you see today only truly formed in November 2015.

What kind of music do you play?

We like to think that over time we’ve developed our own sweet blend of Ska and Indie Rock into something we like to call Skindie!

Can the music be heard on YouTube?

Yes, we have a few older videos out and we have a sweet little something going up this week that is bound to rock your socks.

Who will your music appeal to?

We like to think that our music appeals to that little piece in everyone that says “screw it, let’s have some fun”.

If jumping around and having a blast is your thing then come have a banger of a time with us.
