Nailed to my coach, in typical movie style with a cold drink and popcorn, I was ready for this action-packed suspense-filled thriller.

Based on a true story this movie is about two people who come to a crossroad and save each other’s lives.

There is single mother Ashley Smith (Kate Mara), a recovering methamphetamine addict, who is trying desperately to come clean so that she can get her little girl back.

During a rehabilitation talk a woman offers Ashley Rick Warren’s book The Purpose Driven Life as a guidance, however, Ashley dumps it into a dustbin, just to have it delivered to her workplace the next day.

Then there is Brian Nichols (David Oyelowo), who becomes the subject of a citywide manhunt after breaking out of a courthouse jail killing four people, including the judge assigned to his case.

Ashley, who looks forward not to disappoint her aunt and daughter, gets the surprise of her life when Brian enters her house uninvited and holds her hostage.

But where there is hope there is life and people going through a crisis are looking for a home.

Being scared to death, Ashley looks for guidance from this best-selling, inspirational book and as she reads aloud, she and her would-be killer come to a crossroad.

Their chance meeting has surprising consequences when their broken lives collide.
