Mi Casa concludes Dare to Love tour

Multiple SAMA award winning house band, Mi Casa, will end their nationwide tour with a final, one night only concert at Carnival City on December 13.

The show is part of the Cornetto Dare to Love tour which has seen the band perform in Cape Town, Bloemfontein, Port Elizabeth and Durban over the past few months, spreading “love and friendship through music”.

Mi Casa will use the Dare to Love tour to launch their new highly anticipated studio album Home Sweet Home.

Recently back from a whirlwind international tour of London, Italy, Portugal and Canada where they performed crowd favourites like “These Streets”, “All the Glory” and “Jika” in sold out venues, Mi Casa is keen to bring the experience home to their Gauteng fans.

“We are delighted that Mi Casa has included Brakpan on their national tour.

“We anticipate a full house for their show,” says Carnival City’s entertainment and events manager, Matthew Cook.

Mi Casa is revered for its brand of soulful house music, which merges dance music, jazz, vocals and disco.

The band has been making waves on the local music scene for a number of years but the name Mi Casa was firmly entrenched in 2011 when the band was chosen as the opening act for American rapper Drake when he performed to a crowd of over 4 000 fans in Johannesburg.

Mi Casa comprises three talented individuals: Dr Duda, producer DJ; J-Something, vocalist and guitarist, and Mo-T, the trumpeter.

Their musical talents blend to create a distinctive sound.

When asked about bringing their international show back home, band member Mo-T said: “South Africa is where it all started for us.

“We want to show our love and appreciation to the people who made us who we are by continuously buying and listening to our music.”

The show starts at 3pm with doors opening at 2pm.
