Stable Inn’s famous braai relish
Spice up your braai pap, smother your braai meat in a delicious sauce or drown your boerewors roll in a tasty relish.

All of this can be done with one easy recipe for a delicious braai relish, created and prepared by Stable Inn.
Here is what you need:
_ Olive oil
_ Three large onions – diced
_ Three large fresh tomatoes – diced
_ Diced bacon: 200g
_ Mushroom soup powder: 50g
_ Brown onion soup powder: 50g
_ Pinch of salt
_ Black pepper
_ Pinch of oregano
_ Fruit chutney: 100ml
_ Tomato paste: 50ml
_ Apricot jam: 30ml
_ Evaporated milk: 100ml
_ Water: 100ml
The method is as follows:
_ Add olive oil to a pan on medium heat.
_ Add chopped onions and fry until brown.
_ Add your diced bacon and fry until cooked.
_ Add diced tomatoes and stir.
_ Add a pinch of salt, black pepper and oregano and leave to simmer.
In a separate bowl:
_ Mix mushroom soup powder, brown onion
soup powder, chutney, tomato paste, apricot jam and sugar.
_ Stir until well combined.
_ Add the evaporated milk and water and mix thoroughly.
_ Add contents of bowl to pan mixture and stir well.
_ Leave to simmer for a few minutes.
_ Dish up and enjoy.
