I’ll start off by saying I loved this book, it was captivating and intriguing from start to finish.

A young woman’s terrible nightmare begins when she awakens in a cold, dark cellar with no idea how she came to be there.

Infused with alcohol and drugs, Ruby is disoriented and confused about the seemingly homely prison she finds herself in, and even more so by the man who captured her.

Where does she know him from?

The body of another young woman is discovered buried on a remote beach, but the dead girl was never reported missing as her estranged parents received regular texts from her over the years.

This is chilling evidence for DI Helen Grace, who now knows she is chasing a twisted person, both clever and resourceful, and a predator who has killed before.

She realises she is in a desperate race against time to catch the monster.

The Doll’s House is the third book in the DI Helen Grace thriller series, preceded by Eeny Meeny and Pop Goes the Weasel.

Truly a great read and a book that you will find hard to put down.

Its mystery and intrigue will keep you captivated to the end.
