Theatre production to end Chris Hani month
The sequence of events and Hani's life story are told in multi-faced ways.
An Ekurhuleni stage production about the life of Chris Hani, Back to Front – A People’s Man, was performed at the Springs Theatre on Friday.
The production portrays all life situations in a convincing manner where stories of the South African communist leader are told through dramatic poetry and music.
The show includes recent topics of South Africa, and compares the happenings of today with those of the past.
The sequence of events and Hani’s life story are told in multi-faced ways.
Production directors, Nathi Msomi and his wife Thuli, say the general idea is to tell the story in a way it has never been told before, through music, drama and dance.
April is Chris Hani month and there is no better time than now to tell his story.
“This will ensure that the born-free generation will also embrace all the leaders who fought and died for liberation,” says Nathi.
