Thrown from a plane

DVD: Dead Drop Reviewed by: Samantha Keogh Review made possible by: SterKinekor

After being tossed out of a plane 3000 feet above the ocean, ex-CIA operative Michael Shaughnessy (Luke Gross) goes back to North Mexico to re-infiltrate a drug trafficking ring to find his killer.

With his memory a little foggy – as it is after being thrown from a plabe – he sets off on a murderous rage to find out who killed him and where his best friend Santiago (Nestor Carbonell) – the man he believes threw him from the plane, is hiding.

While Michael hunts for Santiago, he in turn takes Michael’s girlfriend Nadine (Jill Remez) hostage, forcing her to run across the city with Santiago as he tries to avoid being killed.

Added to this is the fact that the CIA are trying to take their rouge agent out, forcing Michael to dodge bullets from Dwight’s (Cole Hauser) sniper rifle.

As with most action movies, there is a lot of blood and unnecessary killing and yet Dead Drop sets itself apart as an interesting and enjoyable action film – even for those not usually predisposed to this genre.

Dead Drop should definitely make it onto you list of movie to watch this holiday.
