‘For your entertainment’

M&M Dance Company had their launch 'For your entertainment' last Wednesday evening.

Malcolm Schroeder (21) and Mariska Wolmarans (27) started this dance company four months ago where they teach all forms of dancing.

Malcolm’s big day was darkened by the death of his father the day before the launch last Wednesday.

Last Tuesday, Christopher Schroeder died a day after his birthday after being bitten by a black mamba snake in the Congo.

Malcolm wanted to cancel the show when he heard, but continued with it anyway.

“I didn’t cancel the show because my dad told me to make him proud and do the show, no matter what,” says Malcolm.

Malcolm was the director, producer and costume designer of the show and sang a tribute song ‘Grey’ for his dad.

Malcolm and Mariska are dance partners and do all their choreography themselves.

He also did the lighting design and props as well as the design of the stage.

“We want to thank everyone for their help and support to make this evening a success, we could not have done it without you,” says Malcolm.

Mariska adds that they want to bring more of this type of show to Springs and anyone is welcome to join.
