Not the kind of happy ending you expect

DVD: Don Jon Reviewed by: Gareth Drawbridge Review made possible by: SterKinekor

After studying the cover for Don Jon, potential viewers will be forgiven for expecting a hilarious comedy about a porn addict trying to live out his fantasies.

However, after getting comfortable and hitting the play button, you won’t find the happy ending you are looking for.

Instead, viewers must be prepared for an estimated 90-minute film which could best be classified as a light drama.

Jon Martello (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is a man’s man and on the surface he seems to have it all.

He’s popular, good looking and every weekend he hooks up with the best looking broads.

The only problem is that none of these perfect 10 women can compare with porn films on Jon’s laptop.

These films fuel Jon’s sexual fantasies and as he continues trying to find a porn-star to do the things he sees online, Jon meets two very different women who each teach him valuable lessons in life, love and relationships.

Written and directed by Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Don Jon is proof that you cannot judge a film by its cover or the blurb on the back.
