The Pink Panther Roadhouse was the spot for lunch this week when advertising manager Michell Roberts and I stepped out of the office on Monday.
Not a regular roadhouse visitor, I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on their menu and the excellent service we received from Talitha Maphonyana.
Both Michell and I enjoyed perfectly prepared thick, frothy Horlicks malt shakes with our burgers.
She tested the mushroom burger while I went for the BBQ burger – one of the current specials which comes with chips.
While chips are not included with all burgers, they can be ordered as a side and the additional cost is well worth a taste of these chips which were made exactly as I like them – crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The patties were huge – more than enough for the hungry man – well cooked and fresh. Burgers can be ordered with either a single or double patty and come with the regular fillings of lettuce, onion and tomato and lashing of delicious sauce of your choice.
You also have the choice of a toasted bun or bread.
For those with a huge hunger to satisfy, the Pink Panther offers the option of a double patty on your burger.
Not interested in the traditional roadhouse burger?
Fear not, the Pink Panther has a vast array of delectable dishes to choose from.
Included on the menu is a range of pizzas, shawramas, grills and toasted sandwiches.
There is also a great selection for little tummies and the milkshakes – whether you’re a child or an adult revisiting the tantalising tastes of childhood – are some of the best I have tasted.
With all this choice and the excellent service on offer, the Pink Panther is the perfect spot for the entire family – be it a light lunch or a filling dinner you’re after.
