Cricket semi-final decided in the last over

T and B brother's bowling attack was ferocious and economic.

Imtiyaz Turky Lenz took on the T and B Brothers on Sunday afternoon at the Springs Old Boys cricket field in a thrilling Springs Premier League semi-final that went down to the last over.
Lenz batted first and knew they had to post a big total if they wanted to stand a chance to qualify for the finals. Despite wickets falling at regular intervals, they posted a competitive total of 167/8.

Nadeem (55) and Uthman (30) ensured their team stayed in the game.
Alpesh Patel was the pick of the bowlers for T and B Brothers with 3/14 runs from four overs. He was well supported by Nabeel Ahmad (3/18 runs in three overs) and Zabit Malinga (2/37 runs in four overs).
Imtiyaz Turky Lenz knew they had put the batsmen under pressure early on to defend their modest total.
The T and B Brothers lost wickets at regular intervals, but steady knocks from Mark Pearse (58), Ridwaan Kheliya (35) and Asad Badat (28) got them over the line with one to spare as they ended on 168/8.

Mark Pearse kept a cool head to help his team in the run chase.

Imtiyaz Turky Lenz’s bowlers did not make chasing down the total easy for the opposition. Imran Baloch and Iftikhaar Ali were the picks of the bowlers. Baloch took 2/30 runs after 3.3 overs and Ali ended with 2/43 after three overs.
T and B Brothers will be taking on Maq 11 on June 27 at Springs Old Boys.
