Old Boys to host the inaugural T20 Winter Knockout Tournament

Teams from Middelburg, Klerksdorp, Nelspruit and Actonville will come together to play in six round-robin format with the final scheduled for June 27.

The sounds of bat and ball will once again be heard at the Springs Old Boys Cricket Club with the inaugural T20 Winter Knockout Tournament.
The tournament will form part of the Springs Premier League and will start on Saturday.
Teams from Middelburg, Klerksdorp, Nelspruit and Actonville will come together to play in six round-robin format with the final scheduled for June 27.
Organisers Javid Patel with his management team is excited to bring live cricket to Springs again.

“We have the facilities and players and we want to bring a mini-Indian Premier League to Springs.
“It’s going to be high-octane, fast cricket that will test even the strongest teams.
“This is the first time we will have this tournament in Springs, and we hope people will enjoy it as much as we do,” said Patel.
Patel said the seven-week tournament will be free for spectators and there will be food stalls, music and commentators.

“We have been hard at work getting the grounds ready, and we’re excited to see Springsites on Saturday,” said Patel.
There will be two matches on Saturday, with the first starting at 9.30am and the second at 1pm at the A field at the Springs Old Boys Cricket fields.
