It was a quiet weekend at the Springs Country Club last weekend with many players heading over to the Pollak Park Golf Club for the first round of the EGU Handicap League on Saturday.

The local derby between Springs and Pollak was a highly anticipated affair and both teams were keen to get the season going with a win.

Unfortunately, the rain had the final say.

The rules state that if nine holes have been completed and there is no further play, the status of the games at that point determine the result of the match.
