The summer season of LastManStands got off to a slow start at Olympia Park Stadium this Sunday.
Players were rusty and took a while to shake off the cobwebs that had built up over the festive season.
There were low scores across the board as not a single team managed to get over 130 runs.

After the first day of games, Spitbraai are on top of the log with nine points.
The pressure will now be on them to maintain their lead at the top.
Hennie Wirths of Drinking Buddies scored the only half century of the day, 50 runs from 40 balls.

Tiaan van Tonder put in a superb performance with the ball with figures of four wickets, over two overs, with just 11 runs scored against him.
Martin van Vuuren of EastRand Gladiators, Devon Germeshuys of Jolly Brothers, Wynand Venter and Dewald Venter from Wicketpedia also all had a good day with the ball.
