The Pollak Park Golf Club hosted a dazzling array of competitions over the past week.
There has been a competition at the course almost every day of the week, with competitions for every level of golfer.
The course is looking spectacular, with the recent rains adding a lovely touch of green.
Head of golf operations at Pollak Park Golf Club Rob van Velzen says: “I firmly believe that Pollak Park golf course is one of the best layouts in the Ekurhuleni area, with a great mix of shorter risk-and-reward holes, as well as some really testing par fours like the second, eighth and 10th holes.

“The greens are consistently pure and are very receptive for all levels of golfers playing the course.
“A thumbs up to our course supervisor Alex and his team, as well as our chairperson Roy Palmer for their tremendous efforts in keeping the course in a superb condition.
“It is a great challenge for the course workers to present the course as they do, with very limited machinery and resources available.”
The state of the bunkers remains a concern for van Velzen and he says the club is raising money to buy bunker sand and hopefully improve the quality thereof.
