Gingers Day Golf at Pollak Park

Gingers Day Competition at Pollak Park Golf Club last Saturday

This past Saturday was the monthly Gingers Day Golf Competition at Pollak Park Golf Club.

Not only was the golf really a challenge with the sudden rain showers during the morning, but the club had its annual greenkeeper’s revenge day too, so there were some extremely difficult shots to play.

For example, players had a choice of five different holes on the first green.

The challenges varied and golfers were shocked to find the hole on the ninth green was just large enough to accommodate a golf ball with no gap around it at all.

Bruce Gardener says: “Removing a golf ball from it was really difficult and one had to utilise a green repairing tool to be successful.

“There were many other challenges and it certainly was not straight forward to play many of the shots.
