Easterns Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry Golf Day a success.

Golfers teed off at 10am and matches continued throughout the day and into the evening.

The Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry held their annual golf day at Pollak Park golf Club on Thursday.

The event was well attended with golfers from all parts of Springs taking up a four-ball challenge to support the event.

Various businesses and health services set up stalls around the teeing area to promote their services.

N17 Netcare nurses provided free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings as well as educational pamphlets.

Nurse Jeanine Storm says, “We are using this as an opportunity for people to screen their blood pressure. It is also an opportunity to educate the public about health.”

Jaco du Preez, Jeanine Storm, Nokuthula Janda, Ntswaki Mahanke, Ashlyn Maseko and Neliswa Sibande of Netcare provided free blood sugar and pressure screenings.

Springs Parkland Hospital was similarly set up, with the added fun of a Springbokkie shot in the form of a syringe.

They, too, were there to educate the public on healthcare.

Kimberly Clark Family Care handed out toilet papers and sanitary wipes.
