The Springs Old Boys Bowling Club had their end-of-season prize-giving ceremony on Sunday morning.
Bowlers gathered for the club’s annual general meeting before getting down to business.
Club chairperson Bea Gosse says the bowlers performed well and congratulated all the winners and bowlers who participated in social games and competitions this season.
“We would also like to congratulate Paula Birbeck making it to the semi-finals of the Ekurhuleni Bowls (EKB) Senior Singles competition,” says Gosse.
Gosse also quashed the rumours of the club’s imminent closure, saying: “Springs Old Boys will carry on as normal.
“We’re not shutting down.”
