Heartbreak and joy at Springs Old Boys

It was heartbreak for the u-10s as they lost 0-3 to the Flamingos.

 

It was a rollercoaster of emotions for Springs Old Boys Soccer Club on Saturday as they lost one game and devastated their opponents in the next.

When the u-11 team took on Woodlands they demonstrated their superiority with the ball early on.

They made few mistakes, defended well and kept their opponents guessing at what they were going to do next.

They landed all their shots and scored an astonishing 12 goals and their Woodlands counterparts were left with their heads bowed, not scoring a single goal.

It was heartbreak for the u-10s as they lost 0-3 to the Flamingos.

They did not give the game away as they played as hard as they could and never threw in the towel.

Defending was ultimately what saved them from a bigger defeat with the goalkeeper keeping out many shots.

Their coach gave them some words of comfort telling them that they played their hearts out and fought well despite the other boys being a bit stronger than them.
