Danielle pours a great deal of her life into tennis, sacrificing weekends and her after-school spare time.

Zanne says Danielle does not let tennis get in the way of her schoolwork as she excels academically as well.

The love of sport and tennis runs in Danielle’s family. Her father was a great tennis player as well.

“She eats, sleeps and breathes tennis,” says Zanne. “Her favourite place is on the court and tennis is her greatest passion.”

“Danielle is able to out-think her opponents and this is what gives her an advantage,” says Zanne. “She keeps them moving all over the court and is able to return the most difficult shots and serves.”

Zanne and Danielle often have to drive far for her tournaments and matches, and Danielle sometimes has to study in the car during these trips.

Her family hopes that Danielle can win a scholarship to study in America.

Although her family is in complete support of Danielle’s ambitions, their priority is that she is happy and enjoys herself in everything she does.
