Beers and Tots ended their undefeated season with a triumphant victory over Knuck Fows and clinched a myriad of awards at Olympia Park Stadium on Sunday.

With heroic knocks from Juan van der Merwe, 50 (36), and Martin Greeff, 42 (21), Beers and Tots were able to post a considerable total of 159-4 after 20 overs.

Tots’ bowling was equally impressive and they were able to defend their score with ease.

Martin Greeff clutched 5 wickets for 14 runs after 4 overs and Dean Crouse took 1 wicket for 22 after 4 overs, limiting Knuck Fows to a meager 85-7 after their 20 overs.

Their fans and friends cheered them on loudly from the sidelines as they sent the balls sailing over the fence and caused the opposition’s batting to collapse.

Beers and Tots ended the season on a high note after sweeping the awards for best batsman of the season (Lodie Greeff), best bowler (Martin Greeff) and best wicketkeeper (Lodie Greeff).

After a blistering hot day out on the cricket field, the team celebrated their victory with beers and speeches at the Olympia Park Stadium clubhouse.
