Pollak’s Ginger Golf Day

Pollak Park Golf had a busy day last Saturday hosting its first Gingers Golf Day for 2019.

Pollak Park Golf had a busy day on Saturday hosting its first Gingers Golf Day for 2019.

“First of all, thanks to Mike Wise for taking over the reins of running the Gingers monthly golf day for 2019.

We thank him for his commitment to making 2019 a great Gingers Golf year for the 50 odd players every month.

We will all do our best to support him and help him with sponsors and the running of monthly events,” says Bruce Gardner from the Pollak Park Golf Club.

Last Saturday was the start of the monthly Gingers Golf Days for 2019. The event took place at Pollak Park Golf Course.

“Everyone was looking forward to the golf and all enjoyed the game.

The greens had just been hollow-tinned so putting was difficult but the course has generally improved from lovely recent rains we’ve had in Springs.

By next month’s Gingers Day the course should be back to its top-notch condition,” adds Gardner.

The results:

• The longest day went to Melissa Rogers with 6 points.

• Third place went to Logan Lawrence with 38 points on a count out.

• Second place went to Navin Naidoo on 38 points on a count out.

• First place went to Matthew Carlson with 43 points.

• Closest to the pin was Bill Millar.

• Longest drive was Logan Lawrence.
