Teams representing five different countries all turned up in their finest gear to win The Amazing Race-themed competition.

The Anker Golf Club had their year-end function at the Springs Country Club on Sunday morning.

Teams representing five different countries all turned up in their finest gear to win The Amazing Race-themed competition.

Each team were eager to declare themselves as the winning team but it was all fun and games for the club as they gathered for the final time for 2018.

In the weekend’s IPS competition, Gawie Greeff was the leader of the pack with 41 points on count out from Jose Carrazon.

Sunday also saw the final of the Betterball Knock Out over 36 holes which Deon Kotze and Carrazon won after a tightly contested match with Juan Greyling and Johan Kruger.

Delano Kotze will leave the country on Thursday to head to the United States of America to pursue his dream of playing golf professionally.

“All at Springs Country Club wish Delano all the best.

“ He will be going for an initial period of three months where he will be working with one of the best coaches in Houston.

“After returning home in March for two months, he will then go back for a further six months to work on his game.

“Delano says he is looking forward to the challenge and wishes to thank all at Springs for their continuing support and interest,” says club captain Kotze.
