Springs u-8 teams complete a hat-trick of victories on home ground

In the first game against Brakpan, the home side won 29-5.

The u-8 youth rugby teams at the Springs Youth Rugby has now progressed to 15 man rugby.

This is a progression from the 10 man rugby they have played in the past and it is to get them ready for next year where they will play in 15 man a side teams.

The u-8 played in three 15 man games on Saturday at the Springs Rugby Club.

In the first game against Brakpan, the home side won 29-5.

The second game saw the home team play against Benoni where Springs won 12-0.

In the last 15 man game for the day, also against Benoni second team, the home team narrowly beat the visitors 7-5.

The win for the u-8 was impressive as this was the first time they had played full 15 man rugby.

There will be more rugby this Saturday at the club and games will start at 8am.
