Beers and Tits beat the Legends

Fourteen LastManStands teams played against each other on Sunday at the Olympia Park sports grounds.

Liebherr Legends took on Beers and Tits.

These two teams are contending to finish in the top four in order to qualify for the semis.

Liebherr Legends batted first and scored 118 runs with a loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

Gustav Marais scored 51 runs from 38 balls.

According to Owen Chitsinho, manager of LastManStands, 118 is a good score to defend, but Beers and Tits managed to chase it down in 17.3 overs with the loss of two wickets.

Lodie Greeff steered his team to a win scoring 50 runs from 28 balls.

Lodie’s form with the bat sees him scoring in the 50s every weekend.

He is in the race for the top batsman of the season.

Also in this race is Justin Gamble from United CC VIII who is leading this pack at the moment.

Lying second is Andre Johnson of United CC VIII and Lodie is in third position.

Despite the loss this past weekend, Liebherr Legends remain fourth on the log.

The weekend saw Benoni Bench Warmers tumble from the top of the log after being in first position for the past 11 weeks.

Willowmore is now leading the log with 136 points from 17 games.

Second are Benoni Bench Warmers with 134 points from 18 games and in third position is United CC VIII with 118 points from 17 games.

Other results

Willowmore gave Mixers a hiding.

Batting first they managed to post a massive 210 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of only three wickets.

Mixers really struggled in their chase and only managed 90 runs with the loss of eight wickets in their 20 overs.

Llyod Gavin, Loots Hein and Andries Schoeman managed to get Willowmore to this massive score.

United CC VIII scored 183 runs with the loss of three wickets in 20 overs against Seven And A Half Men who scored 84 runs with the loss of eight wickets in 15 overs.

Donkey Slongs scored 162 runs with the loss of three wickets in 20 overs against Gemengde Bende who scored 142 runs with the loss of four wickets in 20 overs.

Benoni Bench Warmers scored 183 runs with the loss of two wickets in 20 overs against Knuck Fows who scored 173 runs with the loss of five wickets in 20 overs.

Fatties and Moanies scored 85 runs with the loss of five wickets in 20 overs against the Springs Bengal Tigers who scored 172 runs with the loss of one wicket in 20 overs.

Jolly Brothers scored 124 runs with the loss of one wicket in 14.2 overs against LMS Brannas who scored 123 runs with the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
