Springs Rugby Club to play against Brakpan

Club is looking for u-6 girls to join their tag rugby team.

The Springs Rugby Club has won the Best Youth Club award for the past two years in a row.

The club was awarded this prestigious award by the Valke Youth Rugby Union.

In addition to this award, the youth teams have performed exceptionally well on the field.

In the youth age groups (u-6 to u-18), five teams won the league in their age categories, two teams came in second and one team came in third.

Not to be outdone by the youth teams, the seniors team competed in the Rugby Super League where they played against the likes of Tukkies, Centurion and Naka Bulle, to name a few.

The club is now gearing up for the new season.

Although some age groups have already started practising, the official practice will start on July 16.

Rugby enthusiasts are still welcome to join, and the club is looking for u-6 girls to join the tag rugby team.

Those who want more information can contact Youth Club chairperson William de Jongh on 083 283 4091.

In the interim, the club will play against Brakpan at home on July 7 as part of the Falcons Pedigree League.

The day will start with the u-21 team who’ll play at 1pm.

The second team will play at 2.15pm.

The u-8s will play a friendly club game at 3.45pm.

The first team will play at 4.15pm.
