Springs Rugby Club gets back to winning ways

Home team took control of the match early on.

The Springs Rugby Club bounced back from its defeat last weekend to beat Centurion 31-26.

The home team took control of the match early on and led 24-7 at half-time.

PJ Walters was the man of the match and was effective on inside centre.

The new midfield combination of PJ, Zondagh and Furbey made Centurion hard work for every point.

Springs Rugby Club Coach Ockert Brits was happy about the win.

“It was our first win against a Pretoria team and we’re now looking forward to the next one.

“We face Tukkies next and it will be a tough challenge, but we’re up for it.

“We’re excited,” says Brits.

Kick-off will be at 7.30pm at Olympia Park Stadium on Friday.
