Liebherr Legends win against Fatties&Moanies

Fatties&Moanies could only score 70 runs in 18 overs.

The Liebherr Legends put on a convincing show as they beat Fatties&Moanies at Olympia Park Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Liebherr Legends scored 135 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.

In response, Fatties&Moanies could only manage 70 runs in 18 overs for the loss of eight wickets.

The weekend also saw the top two teams in the clashing.

Benoni Bench Warmers, who are on top of the log, went up against Willowmore, who are lying second on the log.

The match lived up to expectations as the game ended in a draw.

Benoni Bench Warmers chased 106 and at 18 overs they had the last man standing on his own.

On the last ball, they needed two runs to win and the batsman played the ball into the extra cover and went for singles but was unfortunately run out at the wicketkeeper’s end resulting in a match tied at 106.

This leaves Benoni Bench Warmers still on top and Willowmore still lying second.

Jolly Brothers got pumped up by United CC VIII.

United as always batted first and posted a massive score of 254 runs for the loss of wickets in 20 overs.

Jolly Brothers tumbled in their chase only managing 74 runs in 14.2 overs for the loss of eight wickets.

André Johnson and Justin Gamble’s of United impressive form continues as they have scored 50 runs every game and are gunning for the top batsman of the season award.

Justin Gamble of United CC VIII 50 runs off 21 balls.

Dylan Thomas of Mixers 50 runs off 30 balls.

Alam Nur of Springs Bengal Tiger 52 runs off 28 balls.

Morné van Eeden of Liebherr Legends who took four wickets in three overs and conceded just 18 runs.

Christian Duvenage of Liebherr Legends took four wickets in three overs for 12 runs.

Ronald Gullet of Beers and Tits also took four wickets in three overs for 12 runs.
