Local swimming club aims for glory

Swimmers from Team H20 are determined to end the season on a high note.

Team H2O swimming club are based at Springs Girls High School where they swim on Monday to Thursday afternoons.

The team has been competing since 2013 and has made great strides as a club.

Members of the team have been selected to represent the Ekurhuleni team as well as Eastern Gauteng.

The team is aiming to have members swimming in the national championships in April.

“We always encourage our swimmers to try their best,” says Team H20 coach, Heather Grafe.

“We believe that swimming should be a challenging, positive and rewarding experience for all its athletes and families.

“We just want to provide an opportunity for all swimmers to reach their highest personal potential as both a person and an athlete.”

The Springs-based team also offers Learn To Swim classes for all ages as well as technique development and conditioning, stroke skills and physical strength training for confident, healthy and successful swimmers.

The team is aiming to end the season on a high note by improving their times next month ahead of the national championships.
