Meyer outboxed his opponent from the start of the first round and stopped his opponent in round three with an RSC. Meyer was shorter than his opponent but that did not stop him from using his skills on his opponent and winning a gold medal.

Rodney Botha, a red graded boxer, boxed in the 69 kg weight division and was far too strong for his opponent Boarami Mavuso, a red graded boxer from Marikana.

Botha won in the first 30 seconds of round one on an RSC.
