Fitness bootcamp for Springs community

The Springs community started the new year on a good foot as they gathered on Monday evening for a fitness bootcamp.

Tanya Homem de Gouveia, trainer and coach, offers the free fitness bootcamp three days a week.

“It’s open to the entire community and all ages, shapes and fitness levels are welcome,” she says.

Tanya has added zumba dancing to the mix of other fitness exercises.

“I’ve also added a few more challenges to the bootcamp.”

Tanya explains she offers this bootcamp for the well-being of the community after seeing a need for such a group activity.

The bootcamp takes place every Monday and Wednesday evening from 6pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 7am to 8am.

Tanya also does a full evaluation and weigh-ins for new members and continues weighing the members every month.

New members only have to bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat or towel.

The bootcamp takes place in the field on the corner of Itogen and Hampton roads in Selcourt Enclosure.
