The students from United Martial Arts International Springs recently competed in the Great North 3, the last competition for the year which was held in Brakpan at the Bosman Stadium.
Sensei Jaun Naude says their students did very well again and made them proud by taking almost all of the medals.
“Our students competed in the semi-contact, light contact, low kick and full contact rings,” he says.
Students Hannes Castelyn, Diwan Groenewald and Pieter Groenewald Jnr all took first places in the full contact ring.
“We ended the year very well, the students are now in preparation for their yearly grading.”
The students took a total of 33 medals home of which 19 were gold, 10 silver and four bronze.
