The Chamber sees 24 players tee off

The Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EGCCI) hosted its annual golf day at Pollak Park Golf Club, on September 21.

The Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry (EGCCI) annual golf day was successfully hosted on Thursday at the Pollak Park Golf Club with 24 players competing for the big prize in the better-ball Stableford.

“It was a very successful event and we are happy with the number of players who entered,” says Anita Greef, EGCCI general manager.

Greef says they received positive feedback from players as well as sponsors who participated during the golf day.

As promised, EGCCI’s golf day kept business entertained throughout the day with friends and colleagues. -doesn’t make sense.

“We had a great day and fantastic support from individuals, companies and businesses,” says Greef.

Upon arrival of the golfers, Netcare N17 Hospital supported the event by checking their blood pressure and glucose level tests were done.

The golf day was followed by a prize-giving gala dinner where winners and runner-ups were rewarded with prizes sponsored by different companies.

First place was claimed by Jacques Oelofse and Gert Oelofse who represented Auma SA.

Mark Frame and Reven Naidoo represented Mpact and took second place.

Fritz Tewitz and Hennie Kilian from PFG Building Glass came third.

The EGCCI hosts the golf day annually in order to raise funds for the Chamber.

Greef says the EGCCI was satisfied with the outcome of the players and overall winners of the event.
