Eastern League game won by SOB

SOB u-9 team endurance showed off against Bakerton team.

Springs Old Boys (SOB) u-9 soccer team won their level five game against Bakerton Spurs in the Easterns League on Saturday.

Old Boys beat their opponents with 7-5 goals.

Bakerton Spurs coach, Ahmen Chouglay, says his team started the game with a bang.

Riyadh Khan scored the first goal of the game but as the game progressed SOB soon equaled the score to 1-1.

Thabo Mnisi scored four of the five goals for Bakerton Spurs.

It was a close game and the halftime score was 2-2.

Choughlay says his team returned again with a bang and Thabo scored two more goals during the second half.

SOB team stepped up their game plan and managed to score four more goals.

They are fourth on the log with the Bakerton team second.

Chouglay says SOB had the better of them as his team went into relax mode towards the end of the game.

Although he is a bit disappointed in his team’s performance, he is still happy with their position on the log.

SOB u-7 team lost 2-3 to Pro Athletico on home ground while the u-13 team had a 1-1 draw against Germiston on Sunday.

The local u-8s won their game 4-1 against Mondeor on Monday.
